Installing a WYSIWYG editor in Drupal

Installing a human-readable, easy to use editor is probably one of the first things you'll want to do after installing Drupal. A WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) text editor enables you to quickly edit and add content to your website by simply entering text and images that are automatically formatted and converted to html by your editor as you type. In this way, you never have to worry about fiddling about with messy html code.

My theme reverts to admin theme when a user tries to "create new forum topic"

Hey, folks, I am a Drupal newbe but maybe someone here can help me.

I enabled the Bluemarine theme and playing around with the .css file I modified it to have a black background with really bright green letters for my webpages theme and I saved this new theme under the name "blackthunder" and I put that as my webpages theme but kept bluemarine as the administrator pages theme.

Your Development Method

Choosing “how to build” your website depends on your needs, including not only the website requirements (what content and features it offers and what types of visitors it is targeted to), but also your requirements in terms of time, budget, and skills you have available.

Once you have identified your website’s needs, choosing a development method (the process or steps you follow to edit, add content, add features, test, and launch your website, in other words “how to build it”)) and platform (the hardware and software tools that enable you to implement your development method, in other words “with what to build it”) is a lot less intimidating than it appears.

Step 1: Identifying your needs

Although this step reads like simply applying common sense, a surprisingly large number of website designer-developers miss out on this very important step. As a new domain administrator (we are assuming YOU are the one who is ultimately responsible for the content, features, and services offered in your website), you have to have a very clear understanding of what your website will be, what it will offer, and who are its target visitors. Is it an online business where visitors can buy your products?

If you’re a new business owner who wants to offer products and services online, an individual who wants to set up a simple homepage or blog with interesting features and offerings for a small community of visitors, or even an experienced entrepreneur with no software coding skills, chances are you find the process of starting your own website overwhelming and confusing.
